Will a pocket/swiss army knife bought over the internet be confiscated at customs?
I am interested in buying a pocket knife OR a Swiss Army knife over the internet. I live in Ireland, and I tend to camp & fish outdoors a lot. A knife like those would be fairly beneficial to me, and outdoor shops where I live overprice them by up to €20.
So, I was wondering; if I buy a Swiss Army/pocket knife over the internet, would it be confiscated at customs? If so, would I face charges or just be sent a letter/etc.?
I live in Ireland and would be buying from the UK or US.
