Just because the breed in general will not sit on their eggs does not mean their isn't an acception to the rule. I had a rhode island hen who was the best mother hen I've ever had! She hatched out numerous broods of chicks. I would say your chicken is "getting in the mood" and is going broody. She may not be very good at it and only set a few weeks, but why not let her give a try and see if she can hatch out a brood.
