What is the best way to create a concealed thigh sheath for my Ka-bar knife?
I just recently purchased a Ka-bar 1259, which is a 5 1/4" fixed blade utility knife with a Kydex sheath. Now obviously I can hang the sheath from my belt, but I want it to be concealed on my thigh. The only things that I have seen are drop down sheaths that incorporate both the belt and thigh straps for more stability. I want the sheath to be unnoticed by everyone, having it on my thigh under my jeans or shorts. Any suggestions? There are two sets of slits on the sheath itself which seem like they would sell straps for it to go around your thigh. Any links and info would be appreciated.
Due to the taper of the thigh I would not expect it to stay in place without a belt attachment.
A knife that big will print through most pants and be noticeable.
