How do you sharpen a benchmade knife?
I have a Benchmade mini Griptilian that needs sharpened even though I just got it brand new. It has the black blade coating so i don't want to mess that up but I do need the knife sharpened. Does anyone know the best method to use and if so what is the best sharpener to buy?
I've got a couple of pocket knives with a similar coating. I use a carbide sharpener like this one:

There's a bunch of hardware store brand knock offs that are made the same way too, but the original isn't too expensive.
It sharpens well, and gives you a lot of control over how much metal you take off the blade, and where, so that you don't wreck the finish.
