I'm starting in the world of manga, and I've read that one cheap and effective way for inking manga is to use pens/nibs. There are lots of them, in all kinds of sizes and prices, and I can't decide. I'm needing a pen that makes fine lines (as far as I know a 0.1), another one to make broader lines (0.6), and a marker pen to fill zones with black. I can start with something cheap; in fact, I *MUST* start with something cheap. Any help?
You need not only take nibs, I feel that they are hard to take care of and they're plain hard to use. Though, if you want a good nib, I guess a G nib would be good. The lines vary from how much pressure you put in causing thick and thin lines. I personally think that any good fine line ink pen would be fine. I started out using those kind of pens and after around 4 years of drawing manga, I've switched to a more expensive set of pens called Faber Castell PITT pens. They come in colors of light gray to black and have nice brush tips. I got a set of I think eight pens for $24.99. Anyways, I hope this was helpful and good luck with starting your journey of manga!
