i bought a knife at a yard sale. it is silver wit gold edges on the leather grip. i want to make the blade clean like a mirror and the gold shiny lik new. and the black leather is faded. so any help on how and what to use for this project
use wet sanding paper and oil for wat parts the gold or blade or both
idk if this helps tell about how old it is but, its about 6 inches long and instead of foldin completly in half it folds half way so i can hold it in my fist and the blade pops out between my finger. realy kool knife for $1
You can use 400 grit wet sanding paper, that will remove the rust/dullness, use a "lite oil", so you won't leave scratches int the metal!

I found a "Bowie knife" (replica, 1938,) while hiking the mountains of Southern AZ in 1978! I cleaned it up, and found out it is made in Germany,
with serial #'s and it's worth about $600. ! OH lucky me!
