How do I make a PROP, NON-METAL BLADE retractable shoe knife?
*DISCLAIMER -- I AM NOT TRYING TO MAKE A REAL WEAPON. I AM GOING TO USE A DULL WOODEN OR PLASTIC BLADE*
How do I make a prop shoe knife as seen in several movies, including The Dark Knight?
This is NOT a debate about which movie used a shoe-knife first. I don't honestly care.
Can you destroy the shoe sole to do so? If so, make a slice horizontally through the entire front half of the sole. Hollow out the center part a little bit, so there is room for the knife. Make your fake knife a T; fasten the "blade" part to something perpendicular to it. See how this fits into the shoe sole. Seal off the edges. You'll need to move it in and out with your hand, but it will retract.
