I plan to buy personalized CaseXX knives for the Groomsmen in my wedding. Here is the knife that I want to give them (it matches the tuxes).
I can have the knife engraved on either the spey blade, the clip blade, or the bolster. I don't have any experience with this, and the last thing I want to do is to turn a beautiful knife into a gaudy piece of steel and letters. If you have experience on the matter, let me know what you think. I'm thinking about putting their names on the clip blade, and a personalized message on the spey blade, and leaving the bolster blank. Ideas? Suggestions? Font recommendations? Thanks!
I've had personalized laser engraving on a couple knives, mostly fixed blade.
If anything, it enhances the knife in my opinion.
I own several collectors numbered Case, just like this one. What you're suggesting seems like a fine idea to me! It shouldn't take away from the knife at all.
In fact now that I think about it, I was given a knife last year, with the exact thing your suggesting. It stays in the box though.
