Is a US Navy SEAL or US Army Ranger going to be a pushover when it comes to hand to hand combat?
I always hear that Special Operations units like Navy SEAL, Army Rangers, Israeli Commandos, Russian Spetsnaz, British SAS and so forth are trained in weapons training and without their guns or knives most would not last in hand to hand combat. I find that hard to believe.
Anyways I am wondering, say a Special Operations person was walking through a street and two guys (in this case both of them are sort of "ghetto") picked a fight with him and tried to attack him, what would happen?
Would the special operations person not stand a chance or will the two guys have difficulties taking him down?
They are well trained to deal with a deadly threat quickly and efficiently. However there are two things that people need to know. First they use that as a last resort. If it gets to that point, they have already failed their objective in many cases. Second there is a lot of hype about them being trained in this art or that one. Most of these claims are false. Recently, I read somewhere that one or more of these groups were all being taught some style. That is total hogwash.
