Hi! i have a set of drawers that are old looking (80's tack - to be precise) brown made to look like wood, wood chip made, im sure you know the sort. which are my in laws and they don't think i will have enough room for all my clothes so they made me keep this, only problem is that i am making the room, where they are now into a nursery and with the furniture that my partner and myself have decorated, im sure you can imagine they don't match......sooo im in a bit of a conundrum what to do with them! some people cover with wall paper and change handles etc, but im just wondering if anyone can think of anything to do with them...apart from bin the ruddy things!!! help meee pleaseee!!
Hi SusieD,.At one time I had to hide 2 file cabinets that were placed in a room ( dining room ) where they did not go. I opted to get a large ( lace ) table cloth, placing both together and covered them both. Perhaps an idea for you too. if you do not want to paint and get new hardware on these pieces. Maybe you can cover them up with a large tablecloth or piece of fabric and hide them underneath. The top surface can be used for an additional place to decorate. And no one wil be the wiser of what your hiding underneath.Or until you can give them back to your InLaws say thank you and get what You really want!
