I own a butterfly knife and folding knife. I'm 15 year old and Im getting good with the butterfly knife. I hardly carry my knives on me unless I go outside in case I need it. Me and my freind (she's shorter then me) went downtown one day. There were a group of kids about our age and they were saying things and even approached us. They made us feel real uncomfortable because of where we were at the time. I was wondering if i should carry my butterfly knife even tho it's illegal.I won't take it to school tho. The only time a police officer stopped me was when I had a Birthday Massacre shirt on( he thought I was in a gang). My other freinds carry knives at school and even take them out sometimes. Only one of my freinds got caught with a knife at a park( he wasn't messing with it or anything, they just searched him). Should I take my chances.
most knives ok if they are of legal size blades which I believe 3" inch blade is max on a person well at least in my state but mostly not enforced much. Seems not wearing a seat belt is more dangerous lol.
But No you shouldn't carry your knife. Your not the only one who would have one if it came down to having to use it. Not to mention if it was a group of kids that knife would have surely put you is a very bad situation.
You would do better with MMA for self defense.
