I watched it a very very long time ago...maybe before 2000....its a mecha anime that i watched on this chinese channel called tvb....or maybe jade. a boy was the main character and he has a big robot...

the robot had a round blue thing on his chest....i think. when the boy gets inside the robot he has to stick his hands in 2 blue spheres to control him. on the tip of the robots sword it was triangular. im not sure if the details help....but please try to answer and thank you.
