Who's in favor of laws against "drug paraphernalia"?
We had a little brainstorming session in my law class a few years back, when the state was considering legislation outlawing the possession of "drug paraphernalia", and we reasoned that for such laws to be effective, they would have to ban anything in cans, bottles, or jars, apples, potatoes, scrap lumber, most plumbing supplies, corn on the cob, tin foil, clay, pipestone, metal ballpoint pens, eyedroppers, and all kinds of flutes.
SO, do you think we should outlaw the possession of drug paraphernalia?
In my state possession of drug paraphernalia is not a crime if no form of drugs are found with the paraphernalia.
You can legally purchase bongs,roach clips,ect,they become illegal if used with drugs or have drug residue on them. You are right,they would have to ban so many of other items that can be used as paraphernalia,it would be against a persons constitutional right to own these items.
