Will be Staying with Host Family they are japanese.?
I am African American. Boy i am 17 and soon will be going into a host program and i am a artist .. i was wonder do they have any art class in Japaneses high school and all so as a gift when i depart will be a fine art drawing of the host family .Will that be a good gift to give will i live.And yes i will be learning Japaneses very soon.I will be going july of next year.

1.At first other students may act weird (stare at you, shy away, keep asking questions) if they are ordinary Japanese students, because they are not used to having a non-Japanese looking person around them, and they are curious about you, but eventually they will get used to it. Just like in any other countries.

3. Probably the same things you did in your schools. Study, chat with friends, eat lunch.
4. From stores. If you are living with your host family, usually you eat daily meals with them, but if you need what they don't have in the house, you may need to go to a store and buy it with your money.
Japan is not in another world. Don't worry too much.
