I started off thinking i could fix my truck which was wrecked and bought a new fender for it. It came with a black primer and i have one guy telling me that primer is fine, but another telling me i need to re-prime it. also i have a crease in the door where the door was opened against the fender (fender was pushed back a little bit, the door is creased about an inch back from edge and about 5 inches long horizontal) and of course one person tells me that it is fixable and the other tells me I need to get a new door skin. What is the best way to go about all of this the cheapest but yet most satisfactory results. If it makes a difference it's a ford expedition. If nothing else is there anyone that can suggest a good person in the northern ky area or cincinnati area.
I would rough that primer up and then add another coat on top. You want to be able to put your main coat on before that coat has completely cured.
