I'm afraid if I try to wash it out right now it will just smudge and make it worse until I can get home and wash it. But if I leave it alone it might be harder to get out once it dries? Any ideas on what to do? What should I put on it once i get home?
Without washing the pants , spray a small amount of Spot Shot directy onto the stain and brush it in a circular motion with a fingernail brush or any other small brush. Even an old toothbrush would work. You might have to do the spray/brush cycle 2-3 times but the ink will come right out. When you no longer see the stain, launder the pants as usual.
Spot Shot is a carpet cleaner product, and is color-safe.
You can buy it at Walmart and similar stores.
I have 3 kids and this has been a real clothes/carpet/furniture saver for us...
It also works on permanent marker, pizza sauce, red wine, pet stain and pretty much every stain that might happen in a regular household.

PS: Tide pen, Clorox pen do not work on ink. Hairspray does loosen the ink but I don't like the end result. Instead of the original black stain you will end up with no stain but an overall dingy looking pair of pants. It does not get the ink out, it just spreads it out evenly all over your pants and everything else that you put in the washing machine with it.
