I know you can use oil such as Turf Glide (?) But how about a knife for food preparation ? Any cooking oil would do it ?
Working in American Industry as a Millwright I have been exposed to so many of the Chemicals, I see seem to be feared here. Yes it is well to avoid anything toxic. In modern America the Industrialization of our food supply surpasses any warnings on these pages,read some of the labels on prepackaged food. I use all stainless knives if I were to have a carbon [rust-able] I would use the same oil and make sure it was clean before using. This concern expressed here is almost humorous when you consider the exposure we get without our consent and the exposure we get with our consent in the Factory prepared foods. Oil on a knife or gun,no big deal.
Any one concerned here smoke?
