Did Anybody Notice This About The Kill Bill's?
Maybe I am putting too much thought into this was how food and violence are linked together in both movies. Anybody else notice this?
1. Vernita Green is making her daughter cereal when she attempts to kill The Bride and is killed instead.
2. Hattori Hanzo operates a sushi restaurant.
3. Oren decapitates an unloyal mobster at a party.
4. The whole Crazy 88 brawl happened inside a Japanese club.
5. Budd works at a strip joint.
6. Budd and Ellie share an alcoholic mixture shortly before being killed by The Bride.
7. Pai-Mei is killed by poisoned fishheads.
8. Bill makes his daughter a sandwich while explaining to her why he tried to kill her mother.
9. Bill has a shot of wine shortly before being killed.
A lot of times, they will have things stages so that the actors are busy with their hands. I've read and heard many of them talk about not knowing what to do with their hands while shooting a scene, etc.
So this doesn't surprise me.
Also, heck, so much of our own lives revolve around food.. getting a beer after work, eating out with friends, family dinners, etc. so he's just set it all in a realistic setting.
