need help choosing a sheat knife?
ive narrowed down my 2 choices of sheath knifes, it would mainly be used for gutting/ skinning deer and elk and antelope, gutting fish, a knife to carry when camping, self defense if needed, and a utility knife. my two choices are schrade uncle henry sheath knife with a faux stag horn handle or a glock feild knife with a black handle. which of the two is of better quality? what one is more trustworthy? which one can hold an edge better? please dont suggest any other knives because im dead set on these two. i already own a buck 110 that i use for gutting deer and stuff but i want another knife.
So is that the two knives on the links below ?
The Schrade is 400 stainless steel , 440 C is the best stainless steel for knives but it does cost more than 400 . The Glock is carbon steel which is a really good steel for knives and holds its edge well and the polymer handle is water resistant , but the carbon steel blade it is not a stainless steel so it needs more care to prevent rust.
I have knives with carbon steel and others with stainless steel and as long as you are going care for the knife well I will suggest that you get the Glock
