Why are some of the shots reversed in Lord of the Rings movies?
Why did the makers of LOTR movies use reversed screen shots in many of the scenes? For example, in some scenes a characters' sword will originally be on his right side, and then on the wide-pan shot, it'll be reversed...is there a reason why filmmakers use this reversal technique?
I think they're just goofs. Mistakes happen, though they shouldn't since there are people hired to make sure everything goes right. But alas, nobody's perfect.
