can anyone help with this sword query?
i recently bought a fully functional ' mortuary-sword ' from a medieval website . i like the sword and are happy with it , but it doesn't have a razor cutting edge - but with a little effort it will cut into something like card.
i spoke to the guy who handles payments and queries and he said this was right , that broad sword or mortuary-swords aren't meant to be razor sharp or really sharp.
i just want to know is this right ?
its a nice piece of metal , do you think it would be worth going to the trouble of trying to get it sharpened to a razors edge ?
something i haven't got the time or money for right now , but wondering either way.
im hoping the sword could be fine just how it is.

He's right it isn't supposed to be razor sharp.
It was made to Crush and Cut to do double the damage.
