Need help with AP Studio Art breadth section?
I've just started on my AP Art breadth, having completed two projects. I have lots of ideas for more projects, but I'm worried about running out of different mediums. The breadth section is supposed to consist of 16 projects with various mediums that demonstrate versatility as an artist. I've already used sharpie markers and regular colored pencils. The only other mediums I can think of using are pastels, paints, ballpoint pens, and watercolors.
I guess my question is: how varied do the mediums have to be for the breadth? Like, does every project have to be in a totally different medium? Is it a good idea to mix mediums? What are some other mediums/ techniques I can use that I haven't named?

You can mix mediums. I would try to do a different medium for each piece, or if you repeat them, combine them with others. Some other mediums to use: Pen and ink (India ink), charcoal, chalk pastels, oil pastels, graphite, oil paints, acrylic paints, watercolours, stamps (carve your own, then paint on it using stamping paint), ripped up paper, or découpage (kind of like collage, Google it). Anything can be used for a medium, really. I've used shredded paper and ashes from burnt newspapers to make a piece before. But if you're using I guess "childish" materials like pen or coloured pencils, make sure the piece is really spectacular and maturely done. Remember to be creative and unique and don't worry too much about it. Good luck!
