-Darth Vader is Hamlet in an SS uniform there to interrogate and terrorize people for the Emporer
-Emperor is Caesar or in the case of World War 2 Hitler.
-Luke Skywalker is a swash buckling Samurai apprentice young and deadicated to the cause of restoring piece to the universe. Consider him the soldier that comes from the field to become a great soldier, perhaps Sergeant York.
Han Solo the pirate much like Rick in Casablanca there to take advantage of the war and run blockades and help others for a price.
-Princess Leia is the damsel in distress whose hairdoo is oddly reminiscent of the hair style of the 40s. Her part is to give the men a cause worth fighting for and to rally forth the troops. She is the last vestage of the senate democracy and goodness in her off white gown.
-Obi Won Kenobi the warrior priest reminiscent of his role as the soldier in Bridge Over the River Kwai. He is there to train the boy in the art of swordsmanship and honor and like lead judge in the trials at Nuuremburg remind Vader that he is only a master of evil.Vader has lost his good judgment.
-Chewbacca Sadly he is the guerrilla fighter complete with crossing gun belts to make him look like the stereotypical french rebellion fighter.
- R2D2 The plucky foot soldier that is always there in the background doing all the dangerous mission behind enemy lines and in the thick of battle. Some what of a navigator and radioman as well.
-C3PO The comic fool that makes it through the battle not by his acts of heroism but his acts of cowardness that in the end serve to save some from taking risks that might kill them as well. He is also the interpretor.
Storm troopers - German foot soldiers.
Tie Fighters - Nazi iron eagle luftwaffer pilots.
The admiral staff - The Nazi/Japanese navy.
X wing and Y wing fighters - The allied fighters/ japanese dive bombers/ kamakazis.
The Fight - the Battle of Midway.
The Death Star - basically a cross between an aircraft carrier and Hiroshima/Nagasaki.
