Can even the simplest things make a poem sound good?
That's me you see
Sitting
Atop of one
Bed
With rumbled covers
And stained blue
From fountain pens
Used for writing
Take a glance down
This dry
Weathered skin
And be thankful
For you are spared
From witnessing
Further sights
Which will scar you
As by knobby feet
And curled up toes
Are housed
In cotton socks
Several books
Are scattered
Instead
Of neatly stacked
And contain many
Pages marred
With sweat and fruit
Indeed
The only thing
Remotely perfect
About this
Whole scenario
Would be
A lone book
Blue
With silver flowers
And the occasional leaf
Painted on
Even nature itself
Cannot ignore
Such beauty
So it breaches
The glass windows
Which are locked
And keep me
From the world beyond
Tiny rays of light
Separate themselves
From the huge orb
Creep in slow paces
With various arching positions
And splay it's glowing
Glorious fingertips
Across the lone
Article of beauty
Among this mess:
The closed blue book
Yes, this is very good. Puts you there ; )
