I recently bought a kershaw 1660vib 3 inch switch blade for self defense reasons as well as just liking knives. No i dont live in a higly dangerouse area i just dont trust in my ability as a girl ( figures that i got a stained knife )to get out of a situation at night if i ever got into one. I know plenty of other people that own automatics and switchblades on their belts or in their pockets, but i dont ever want to encounter a legal situation.
so is it legal to have it in youyr pocket or does it go againts a concealed wepon law, so i'll always have to carry it around on my belt? is it even legal to carry it around? i've also had a friend of mine ask me if it's legal for a minor to carry one around.
Theoretically, if some one attacked you andf you pulled a knife on you would you be charged with carrying a kniofe in the first place???I get self defense but the sheer reason of carrying it around?
Class B Misdemeanor. See attached. A quick read doesn't mention if you can carry it openly. I assume so since you bought it in Oregon leagally.
