I bought a folding pocket knife, it has a button that wen you press, it springs open, then you need to press it again to close, problem is though, it springs open just fine but when its open it wont lock, i can just fold it back up, im afraid to stab with it and cut myself, it all started wen i was feeling how loosley it was locked i pushed down, as if i was folding it, without pressing the button, i heard a snap and that was it. Just a heads up but the possession of automatic knives (switchblades, stilettos,ect.) is illegal in pretty much every state. I think it may even be a federal law. You can have an assisted-opening knife but yours sounds like a straight up switchblade. My advice would be to stash it somewhere and forget about it or even throw it out and buy a nice benchmade, CRKT, or Gerber spring assisted-open knife. That way it will be legal and it won't break like your switchblade.If you ever have to use it for defense you'll be glad you shelled out the $80-$200 on it. Not to mention it will probably last you for the next 10 or 15 years.
