For some reason, it seems that the new pens I buy are always a little dysfunctional in one way or another. I got a box of paper mate profile pens with 1.4 mm tips because the box said the smoothest pen on earth or something like that, and the thickness appealed to me because I wanted a ballpoint pen that would write really dark black. But then, when I started using them, the ink would always collect near the tip, so when I would shift the pen in my hand and then start to write, this big splotch of ink would mess up my page. Then I bought BIC Atlantis retractable pens because the box said super smooth and 1.0 mm, and it doesn't write black. It writes grey. So it would be nice if you could tell me a really nice brand of pens that really works well (I prefer ball point retractable pens). I need some that write really dark and don't splotch. Any suggestions?
try gel ink pens i have a uniball gel impact rt writes real smooth. not sure about the black color i got the blue ink color. i have used several different gel ink brands an they all work well
