Storing a Scottish Claymore without a Scabbard.?
Hey there,
I have just bough a Hanwei Scottish Claymore and I have noticed it doesn't have a scabbard. After doing research I located a scabbard but it is out of my price range.
I don't particularly want to make my own scabbard, so is there anything I can wrap my sword in? My friend wraps his blades in blankets.
I'm going to be using either Hanwei oil or Tuf-cloth so someone help me.
Also, where can I find burlap or lint free material large enough to accommodate a Claymore?
PS, I can't hang it on the wall.
if you are just looking to store it, than give it a good coat of oil and put it in a closet. its made out of steel, as are firearms and I know that to prevent rust on your firearms you shouldn't keep it in the case. I would say the same holds true for your sword.
