what are the careers in the coast guard?
i did soome research and there were many job opportunities like search and rescue, drug buster, immigrant enforcement, and marine life protection. i do NOT want to do search and rescue. ill be fine with anything else. my question is, can i choose which career to go into and also sometimes will they force me to do a search and rescue mission?
Your best bet is to talk to a Coast Guard recruiter. I don't think you get to make many choices after you join so make double sure you know what you are getting into. What's so bad about search and rescue? Saving people is pretty cool... getting shot at by drug dealers is not so much fun.
