I would like something under the $200 mark, with high grade steel, enough for chopping wood, fixed blade, back portion of the blade serrated, over 4.5 " blade, really good grip. Basically I would like something comparable to the Bear Grylls Knife just not that pricey...but dimensions and setup are exactly what I'm looking for. I've checked out nearly every brand and site I can, anyone have any experienced brands they recommend with that knife setup?
Look into the Airforce issue survival knife made by the Ontario knife Co. It has a high grade steel blade that is made to cut through aircraft aluminum. The back of the blade is a saw and its sturdy as anything. I`ve chopped plenty of wood with it. Here`s the one I have:
