Badly damaged fingernails! Plz help!
So I had a freak accident a while back while i was working with my dad on my car. All I really remember was something falling on trapping both of my hands and as I was struggling to pull my hands out some of my nails actually ripped off. About 2 years now they have changed somewhat but have still taking a beating as their sharp edges keep getting caught on something. So I have had enough and now im wondering if a dermatologist would be the place to go? Also Im wondering if this damage is permanent. In some of the damaged nails the white part is still showing, but i cant see in other ones, does this mean its permanent because i keep hearing if the matrix is damged its permanent?- thanx for all help
P.S. if you can also determine pricing and recovery time at a dermatologist that would be great.
the white part of your nail thats by your cuticle?
if we are on the same page, thats called the moon,
and if its not showing just push your cuticles back.
go to a nail salon and just walk in and ask one of the people there about it. see what they say.
i dont know if a dermatologist is the place to go.
they focus more on skin.
