Help me with this pendant or medallion.?
The medallion is The eye of Horus. I have researched it online but only find new ones. I can see some spots of gold but it is vary tarnished to I am not for sure. I do know that is it not made out of wood or plastic
and because I can see gold I don't believe it is nickel or silver, maybe gold or even copper. I can tell it is old do to the fact around the medallion it is starting to vary in thickness. I also have a picture of it
if it helps. It is maybe the size of a quarter and there is someway of attaching it to a necklace maybe. There are not other characters on it. Thank you for you time.
Hard to tell anything without seeing it. Pawn shops are good evaluators of jewelry because when you pawn something, you're putting your item up as security for a short-term loan. Take it to a pawn shop and ask "How much would you lend me on this?" Then multiply that figure by ten. That will be it's approximate value. (You don't have to complete the transaction.)
