Should I buy a cold steel finn bear knife or a mora knife?
I'm just wondering which one is better or if they are pretty much the same quality. They are both have a blade length of about 4in and are about the same price. Thanks.
Mora will be easier to sharpen.
The Finn Bear is hollow ground so you'll have to worry about angles ect. The Mora has a true Scandinavian edge so you just lay it flat on a stone and go to town.
Mora has the better steel. 1095(carbon) and 12C27(stainless) are used by other manufacturers to make much more expensive knives. While Cold Steel's 4116 krupp is used by makers of cheap kitchen knives because its properties make it very suited to being punched out by dies for mass production.
Plus the owner of Cold Steel is kind of a douche and runs around in short shorts.
I'd go with the Mora.
