First thing you need is a Hunter Education class and more knowledge on what hunting is all about. You can't go hunting in most states without the Hunter ED, and there is no such thing as too much hunting knowledge. Learning to hunt is almost like an apprentice program, you want to learn from people who know what they are doing.
Air Soft are toys, time to put away childhood toys. You might have a 20 gauge and 12 gauge, or a 22LR and 12 gauge. 22LR isn't legal to hunt deer with, and the 12 gauge will need proper slugs or buck shot. Most states have a minimum age you can go hunting without an adult in direct supervision,for most that age is 16,ans since you haven't hunted before you need your grandfather,father or responsible adult there with you. Find a copy of you state Hunting Regulations for full rules on ages and where you can hunt legally--just because there are deer in the woods by your house doesn't mean you can hunt there--I use to have deer in my front yard but was in a county no shooting zone.
