How to make a Big replica of a Totem pole?
Hii, well we got an assignment to make a totem pole and we can make it any way we want. The thing is other people in my class always outdo me like they made a 3D replica of the freedom towers. And I always see them outshine me so I want to do good at something. So for this project I wanted to make a totem pole, I just don't know how to or like what to do. Can you please help me? Oh and by the way it has to be BIG! So I need some suggestions. “please don't say paper towel roles, it won't help." thanks! ^_^
Do you know how to make paper machet? mashae? Hell, I don't know how to spell it, but if you make a mixture of flour and water into a loose paste then dip strips of newspaper in it then hang them around a wire mesh frame it might be easier than many other methods. Let it dry then you can keep adding onto that.
It would be a whole lot easier than chopping down a tree and carving faces out with a hatchet or chain saw..
To form the post just use a couple of poles then form chicken wire around in a circle and staple it into place.
Once you have that all built you can start making faces or whatever out of the same type of materials and go from there..
