Throwing knives for a beginner?
I have a choice between two types of throwing knives to get for christmas. I have little experience at all, so I want to know which of these two wold be a better choice:
(both are from Hibben)
I found the product descripions on the net:

This one is symmetrical, a friend told me this made a difference?
The other is:
"One-piece 420 J2 stainless steel blade and handle. Blade length of 4.25 in. High tensile cord-wrapped handle. Overall length of 8.63 in."
It only has a one sided blade.
Both are used, I'm supposed to pick one.
Any ideas on which would be the better choice?

And why I'm learning is because a) it's cool, b) everyone in this generation of my family already knows.
... all i can say is dont throw them at an living objects...
