you see here it was comunism..and we hardly seen precious stones..like this..now there are all over..and i doubt they are real..i think they are imitations..espeacially some say so...and especially there are also imitations..
Zaira - the stones you mention are for the most part what are called "semi-precious" except for ruby. However, rubies can be fairly easily synthesized, and so can be relatively inexpensive.
As synthetic ruby can be made very pure, natural rubies can usually be identified by minor flaws and inclusions and other subtle chemical and physical differences that a gemologist could explain.
Turquoise,sapphire, emerald, spinel, alexandrite, aquamarine, morganite, quartz, amethyst, and citrine are among the minerals that can be synthesized.
Synthetic gems are not imitations - they are just as real as natural ones and in some cases they are more costly. Colored glass on the other hand is very inexpensive!
