How come there are ppl acually saying king tut is not black?
Why are there some ppl saying king tut and his civilization wasn't black? What do they teach these kids in school. King tut was black. him and his nubian wife. He had a lager nose with big nostrils and thick lips. He was also very dark.
Darker than me.
Why can't ppl believe this. And always try to sway from the truth. Egypt is in africa and if you go there you'll see black ppl now. (The area where it near the middle east you'll see more middle easterns.) But majority you'll see dark skinned africans.
In a structure I heard that some white ppl came and broke his nose off so noone would know ppl who looked like him could ever build something so great.
Y r there even ppl questioning his race and trying so hard to disassociate him with being black.
It's a way of degrading the importance Africa played in world history. And yes, you are correct, there have been several incidences as to which Europeans and other entities broke noses or changed images to make African kings look similar to them. It's funny how ignorants try to distinguish Egypt from Africa as if it is a very different geographical location. The majority of Egyptians back then weren't as dark as that of the Nubians. There are a variety of arts where the Egyptians distinguished themselves from Nubians, but they were still "black". One photo can be seen here: http://www.catchpenny.org/images/seti1a.gif (Egyptian being at the very end on the right). Herodotus, a notable Ancient Greek historian, even described the Egyptians as having skins which were "burned" and dark like "soil". The name Egypt, when translated, is "Kemet", meaning "Black Land". Some Eurocentrists however will make up the excuse that the name could have been referring to the land. When was the last time that you went to a country and noticed the land first before the people?
The Great Sphinx is an excellent example of Eurocentrism trying to downplay the black features it possessed.
The real Great Sphinx:

Now look how the Europeans portrayed him before the age of photographs:

(Does it look anywhere close to the original?)
Jesus wasn't black from what we know, as one person incorrectly stated above. Scotsmen is also wrong too. Cleopatra was NOT black in the slightest.
