Anyone have any advice for our family vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains, North Carolina this summer?
I have been looking around at the websites and stuff but haven't found anything extremely brillaint. We are most worried about the lodging. We want to stay in a cabin or a secluded cottage but it seemes that those are rather expensive. Does anyone have any advice or know of a place such as this that is about sixty dollars or less per night? I know it's a long shot but if at all possible, thanks!
Even, and this is probably more far-fetched, but guest houses on a ranch or farm would be awesome - you know in like old western movies?! Pretty dreamy but..
I am not sure if you and your family is into camping but you can often rent a "camping cabin" for about 60.00 per night. Some campgrounds even offer a more luxury cabin now with Air conditioning ect. So maybe you could check those out. If you want to rent a log cabin ect they are very exspensive in Gatlinburg and Cherokee. (two of the main gateways to the Smokeys)
Gatlinburg is such a hot tourist spot, things there are rather exspensive. But they now have Ripleys Aquarium which is nice. Dollywood is awesome and the shopping is incredible. Good luck !!
