What is the best handmade gift you ever received?
Grandma used to knit look-alike sweaters for everyone in the family.
My son made me a wooden box in wood shop.
I have many Christmas ordinments from different friends and family. These are really close to my heart.
My husband made me a special computer work station. He is so good!
My sister-in-law made me a matching braclet and earrings.
But the most special ever was the cloth doll and wardrobe my mom made me when I was only 3. I love that doll so much. She is like the little sister I never had! I use the 55 year old pattern to create dolls to pass on to other sweet little girls.
When my grand-daughter was 7 years old, she made me a little clay person. She painted it her favorite color-purple. She'll be 16 in Sepetember and I keep her gift in a special box. It's long since fallen apart, but I've left a note in the box telling anyone who finds it-it is not to be thrown away. That little handmade purple person was made with love and I can still feel it when I look at the box.
