when do i get the master sword in zelda twilight princess?
After you defeat Morpheel (the 3rd boss), and after you encounter Zant, etc., you go to Telmas bar. The Goron will kick you out but Telmas cat will come out of the window to help you. Push the box to go up to the window, and climb on the ropes in the bar (Don't fall or break any vases, otherwise the Goron will kick you out). When you're on the ropes travel to the other side of the bar into a passage way that will lead you into the Jovani's house. Defeat that Poe Soul and Jovani will open a treasure chest which will lead you into the old water system.
Fight your way through the spiders bats, etc, and burn spider webs in order to reach a dead end with a digging spot. Dig and you will end up in the new water sytem. Go up the "spiral stairs" to Zelda. Then... after...You will then end up outside the castle, and a barrier will cover the castle.
Warp to North Faron woods (where the Forest Temple is). By Trill's (the little birdie) shop is that stump in that tree (that is where that treasure chest with the $10 Rupee and the Deku plant is). Stand on the stump thingy and Midna will signal you to jump. When you are done jumping, howl at the howling stone you see now. You'll learn a new location to learn a skill. Now go inside the entrance. You're in the Sacred Grove. Howl at that other howling stone you see. That causes Skull Kid (that little goblin-imp thingy) to appear with his weird puppets. He'll play "tag" with you. You'll have to pay attention and fight off the puppets as you try to attack Skull Kid (he can make entrances appear and disappear). When you find him, attack, because you'll have to do this several times. When its your last time attacking him in that area, he will reveal a passageway that will lead you to two big statues. Howl at that Triangle and the statue will come to life and give you a puzzle in order to open a door. You have to make both of them go on the decorated squares. When you do so, the door will be opened to reveal the place with the master sword!
* I'm not gonna tell you HOW to solve the puzzle, or what happens to Zelda, OR what happens when you get the sword. You figure it out; or you can go to http://www.zeldawiki.org/Sacred_Grove if you are truly stuck with the puzzle. Anyway have fun! ; )
